Raleigh is the largest city in North Carolina. It is home to the state capitol and the University of North Carolina, which is known for its world-class campuses. The University of North Carolina, Raleigh is a nationally ranked academic and research university and is recognized as a premier institution by the U.S. Department of Education. The university boasts five different colleges and schools and is located on the historic campus of Wake Forest University, Duke University, Winston-Salem State College, and Morehead State University.

The city of Cary has a population that is approximately four million people and is located within the City of Cary. The majority of the city’s population consists of professionals and Raleigh residents who live within the inner city.
